With this 2007-2008 season, BCCF celebrates its 30th year serving the choral community in British Columbia. The Board has set itself a challenge - to create, over the course of the season, THIRTY events that will bring singers together in music-making, and present the federation to the province.

Ruth Dwyer: Harmony in Sequence - Introducing Harmony to the Young Singer


A two hour workshop with RUTH DWYER from the Indianapolis Children's Choir on HARMONY IN SEQUENCE - Introducing harmony to the young Singer. The workshop is open to young singers (Grade 4-7) who presently sing in a Choir, and also to conductors / music teachers who work with young singers. Ruth will work on three pieces during the session. During the last 30 min of the session Ruth will address the Conductors / Music teachers and there will also be time for questions.

Frequent guest conductor & clinician for festivals, conferences, colleges and universities across the US and abroad

  • Internationally recognized as a treble choir specialist and Kodály educator
  • Conducted numerous MENC, OAKE and ACDA All-State and Honor Choirs throughout the US
  • Director of Education and Associate Director of the Indianapolis Children's Choir (ICC)
  • Prior to her full time position with ICC, was public school music educator for 19 years in Indiana; named Outstanding Elementary Music Educator of the Year by Indiana Music Educators Association in 1996
