THE MAGNIFICENT MADRIGAL Canzonas for Choir 8 pm Saturday, February 12 Ryerson United Church Vancouver Chamber Choir Jon Washburn, conductor Five Symposium Conductors Stephen Smith, piano There is more to the madrigal than just fa-la-las, as this concert - the culmination of our 31st National Conductors’ Symposium - will demonstrate. Led by Jon Washburn and five other conductors from the week-long symposium, the Choir will sing favourite madrigals from England, Italy, Germany and France. And there will be madrigal-like music from more modern composers to add additional variety to the programme. All in all... a delightful cornucopia of choral song.
