Know your resources:
- BCCF office; watch Newsletter for information about workshops; contact a member of the Board for help in setting up a workshop in your area. http://www.bcchoralfed.com and/or (604) 733-9687. Executive Director Willi Zwozdesky is a source of MUCH knowledge on all things choral – and when he doesn’t know, he knows who to ask!
- If you’re not from BC, contact your local provincial choral organisation.
- Ask about the Virtual Library Project
- ACCC (Association of Canadian Choral Conductors); repertoire help, Podium conference (In 2006 it will be held in VICTORIA, May 18-21), http://www.choralcanada.org and/or (450) 430-5573. Many of our faculty are also ACCC members
- CDA (American Choral Directors’ Association) - There is a local chapter in Washington State: http://www.wa-acda.org
- Chorus America - an organisation for professional and amateur choirs with an immense amount of help re administration issues
- IFCM (International Federation for Choral Music) - information on international events, World Youth Choir etc.
- BCMEA (BC Music Educators Association)
- ChoralNet, comprising Choralist, ChoralAcademe, ChoralTalk email lists, and many useful resources, including repertoire, concert themes, rehearsal, performance, technology, educationetc
- MUSICA – a wonderful repertoire source, at http://www.musicanet.org and/or its CD-ROM
- CPDL - Choral Public Domain Library: they currently have about 5,000 scores available on-line
- RCCO (Royal Canadian College of Organists) - for information about local events, contact Susan Ohannesian (604) 732-5162

- Vocalist – a resource for singers and teachers of singing
- Primarily A Cappella – a great source for finding recordings and arrangements
- Long & McQuade (Ward Music) (604) 682-5288. I find their website less than helpful for sheet music, but they make up for it in person. Willi Zwozdesky & his staff will be able to make repertoire suggestions according to your needs, and offer annual reading clinics for choir directors
- Northwest Musical Services (604) 877-1991; toll-free: 1-800-663-6797; email info@northwestmusic.ca. Ray Horst and his staff offer similar workshops and service

- Canadian Music Centre – great source of information on Canadian music, though they only hold single copies for study. Colin Miles is the local CMC Director
- Bagaduce Music Library (in Maine) - check this source for choral scores
Church musicians can use many of the above, but also:
- Service Music – David Lee is a talented church musician in the UK who is writing effective music for parish church use, including some good psalm settings
- All Psalms Music - rather more patchy, so choose carefully!
- Association of Anglican Musicians
- Leadership Program for Musicians
- Lutheran Music Program
- Music United (United Church of Canada)
- PAM (Presbyterian Association of Musicians)
- National Association of Pastoral Musicians
- Royal School of Church Music
